Chairwoman Tenenbaum to Leave the CPSC
The chairwoman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Inez Tenenbaum,  announced October 24 that she will leave her position as of December 1 to join the law firm Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough.

Ms. Tenenbaum announced earlier this year that she would not seek renomination to the Commission when her term expired in 2013.  She has served as Chairwoman since June of 2009 and the former South Carolina education superintendent says she's ready to return home and face new challenges. President Obama has not yet nominated her replacement to head the agency.
