The American Pyrotechnics Association proudly announces the release of a new television public service announcement. The PSA, titled Faces, depicts the proud professionals who make up the fireworks industry. They emphasize that as more Americans celebrate the greatness of this country, its important to be safe, smart and responsible when it comes to enjoying fireworks. This Fourth of July season, the PSA will be shown on broadcast and cable television throughout the United States. This distribution is part of a joint safety partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters. APA produced this spot for the National Council on Fireworks Safety as part of their annual partnership encouraging the safe use of fireworks. With the anticipated increase in use of fireworks this year as Americans show their renewed patriotism, this spot is intended to provide a timely reminder about safety and responsibility. It was filmed on location in China Grove, Texas. Without the generous support of Alamo Fireworks and the China Grove Volunteer Fire Department, a successful production would not have been possible. Production and development were done by Cool Films, a Houston-based film and video production company. |
