NFPA Standards

 

 NFPA 1123 (2014 edition) Code for Fireworks Display

Applies to the construction, handling, and use of fireworks intended solely for public display. It shall also apply to the general conduct and operation of the display.

 

 NFPA 1124 (2013 Edition) Code for Manufacturer, Transportation, Storage & Retail Sales of Fireworks

A code prepared by the Committee on Pyrotechnics of the National Fire Protection Association, with input from the APA. Offers guidelines for all aspects of both consumer fireworks and display manufacturing operations.

 

NFPA 1126 (2011 Edition) Use of Pyrotechnics Before a Proximate Audience

A code prepared by the Committee on Pyrotechnics of the National Fire Protection Association, with input from the APA.  Provides reasonable protection to pyrotechnic operators, performers, support personnel, and viewing proximate audiences, where pyrotechnic special effects are used indoors or outdoors.
